Talk about the Chicago Wolves, the AHL, and other hockey in general here. Not hockey? Head outside to The Great Outdoors.

Yeah, I was surprised. Very few kids in the building. Covid, or something else? Anyways, a nice mopping of the floor with the Ads.

Was a fun game. I sure hope they can get more fans coming soon. Following a season with no fans with a season with small crowds can't be good for the team financially.

No goal judges anymore? I didn't notice it until the 3rd period. Not sure if it was like that the whole game.

The league officially eliminated goal judges, it's up to how the teams want to handle turning on the signals behind the goals, but it's based on ref signaling a goal rather than an off-ice official's judgement mixed in. We went from some monster computer and monitor for replay in the penalty box to an iPad just like the big boys in the NHL now.

Low turnouts, well, this happens every year, high school sports are king on the weekends in October into November.

They played a solid game, a continuation of the night before. The female Ref was way cool, I didn't think we would see one until the 2nd half of the season. A solid night of hockey, was great to see in person.
