December 4 2020

Talk about the Chicago Wolves, the AHL, and other hockey in general here. Not hockey? Head outside to The Great Outdoors.

Based on what?

None of us have any clue how our country will be with the virus this winter. I am very curious why December is too early but January will be ready to go...
Just a gut feeling...

I see the ECHL will be playing with fans in attendance where possible. Starting in mid December for half the league. Mid January for the other half. Only 1 team has opted out.

The NHL is starting in Jan, has the AHL made any decision on when they will start their season? With or without fans?

Also, the NHL still has no official start date or official plan. January is a tentative target. So far, only the ECHL, and SPHL have official plans and start dates.

Ahh ok I thought there was a set date. I would think it would be without fans too or at least 25% full.

I'm just guessing, but in think amount of fans, if any, will be up to local government regulations as well as the teams. That is how the NFL is doing it. I would be very surprised to see IL allowing fans indoors anytime soon. If they do, I would expect it to be very limited.
