Not that this makes it official, but it made the WGN news this morning that Chicago was affiliating with Carolina.

I read somewhere that Chicago does not have a new lease agreement with the Allstate Arena. Any truth to that?

Well that would certainly be an interesting plot twist.

It appears that the five year contract extension was verbally agreed upon in Spetember of 2014, which would have put them through the end of this season. But there was also an additional five year option which would put them through 2024.
